The Education Department provides loan resources and education programmes for teachers, students and all school-going learners in cultural studies, history and the natural sciences. As part of a heritage organisation, the Education department plays an active role in the development and awareness of our Eastern Cape heritage and culture. Educational programmes are offered both in classroom context with Museum gallery visits, as well as a Mobile Museum service. Through the Museum's long and close association with Rhodes University, several Museum staff members teach in a number of university departments, as well as Rhodes staff assisting with some Education programmes offered at the Museum.
